The Red Light Moment: Raising Brain Aneurysm Awareness in Black Communities
Every story we share carries the voice of someone who cannot speak for themselves. It is a call to action, a reminder that brain aneurysms do not wait, and a chance to save lives today, not tomorrow. At LaLa Speaks Foundation, we believe change begins with truth and the courage to tell it. Through these stories, we honor lives lost, uplift survivors, and push for early detection so more families can be spared the pain of preventable loss.
The Red Light Moment Recap
The Red Light Moment brought our community together to honor survivors, celebrate the life of Jacqueline “LaLa” Rhone, and raise awareness about the warning signs of brain aneurysms. It was an unforgettable evening filled with education, love, and inspiration, reminding us of the power of early detection and the resilience found in survivor journeys.
One of the most moving moments came when Marquis Terrell, guided by Shai Kaye, created a live portrait of LaLa during the event. Every brushstroke reflected not only her likeness but the very essence of her spirit—a testament to her impact and the love that continues to carry her legacy forward.
