In Honor of LaLa

Turning pain into passion

Jacqueline “LaLa” Rhone lived with a light that wrapped around every person she met. She was a counselor, a motivator, a woman of deep faith, and someone who carried love like a gift she was born to give. She made people feel seen. She made people feel safe. She made people feel like hope was still possible.

LaLa was living with a brain aneurysm for at least three years, and no one knew. Not her family. Not the doctors who cared for her. Not even LaLa herself. She trusted her providers. She followed up. She told them how she felt. Yet the signs were overlooked, minimized, or misunderstood. She was underdiagnosed, and it cost her the warning she deserved.

This truth is painful, and it is real.
Too many families share this story.
Too many symptoms are ignored.
Too many lives are lost because the signs are not recognized soon enough.

LaLa’s life changed ours forever. Her journey is why we refuse to be silent. It is why this foundation exists. The work we do is fueled by the love she gave freely and the life she lived with purpose.

Every program we lead, every toolkit we create, every community we reach, every person we educate is part of the promise we made to her. A promise to fight for early detection. A promise to bring brain health awareness to the front of the conversation. A promise to protect families who may be walking with the same invisible danger and have no idea.

We want to change this narrative.
We want families to know the signs before it is too late.
We want our communities to be informed, empowered, and prepared.
We want no one to suffer in silence the way LaLa did.

Her voice lives through this mission.
Her love shows up in every life we touch.
Her story guides every step we take forward.

This is for LaLa.
This is for every family who deserves answers.
This is for our community.

Together we honor LaLa by saving lives.
