LaLa Speaks Foundation is a certified Grow with Google partner committed to helping our community build digital skills, job readiness, and long-term confidence. Whether you're applying for your first job, reentering the workforce, or exploring a new career in tech or entrepreneurship, our workshops and coaching options meet you where you are with the tools you need and the support you deserve. All sessions are free and community-focused.
What We Offer
Workshops That Build Skills and Confidence
Our learning tracks are designed to support both beginners and advanced learners. Participants may begin with either track based on their comfort level and personal goals.
Pathway 1: Ready to Work
Designed for job seekers, survivors, caregivers, and individuals navigating transition
This track offers hands-on, practical training to help participants build confidence and prepare for employment.
Topics include:
• Creating resumes using Google Docs
• Setting up and managing Gmail accounts
• Organizing schedules with Google Calendar
• Searching for jobs using Google Search
• Preparing for interviews with confidence
• Navigating Google Drive, Sheets, and Meet
• Practicing with the Google Interview Warmup tool
• Understanding digital safety and online privacy
🎓 Scholarships are available for participants who complete this track and wish to pursue Google career certificates or additional training
Pathway 2: Ready to Elevate
Designed for tech-curious learners, digital creatives, freelancers, and aspiring entrepreneurs
This track supports individuals who already have basic digital literacy and are ready to level up.
Topics include:
• Introduction to artificial intelligence and Google Gemini
• Career mapping using Career Dreamer
• Exploring freelance, virtual assistant, and remote roles
• Building personal brands with Google Sites and YouTube
• Using Google Workspace for productivity and project collaboration
• Managing time and automating basic tasks
• Strengthening digital presence through LinkedIn and Google Business Profile
💡 Workshops may include guest experts, networking opportunities, and personalized resume support
1:1 Coaching and Custom Support
In addition to group workshops, we offer individualized coaching for those who need tailored assistance.
Available support includes:
• Resume review and editing
• Google account setup (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar, Meet)
• Interview preparation and mock interviews
• Navigating Google’s free tools and resources
• Exploring scholarship options for career certificates
Access and Locations
Workshops are hosted in trusted community venues including St. Louis County Library branches. Library issued Chromebooks and mobile hotspots are available where applicable. We can also bring equipment if needed to ensure no one is left behind.
